Sen. Tom Coburn is a Fascist Moron

May 2, 2008 · 2 Comments

I’ve long suspected that Tom Coburn is a fascist moron. I’m not certain that he’s a fascist, but the evidence seems to keep lining up (see image below). Recently, Coburn has been participating in some tried and true rhetorical activity that is as mundane as it is effective. He’s arguing, believe it or not, that Democrats are ringing up debt.

Picture 4

“Sooner or later Congress will have to confront the reality that we are on an unsustainable course that is a severe threat to not just our future prosperity, but our ability to advance the cause of freedom in a world that doesn’t always share our values.”

Despite his lofty rhetoric, this millionaire’s voting record doesn’t suggest one of fiscal responsibility. Evidently, it is more important to return money back to the rich by passing tax cuts than it is to find ways to balance the budget. He’s left trotting out the exhausted lines about “pork.” Meanwhile, he helped authorize a war costing hundreds of billions of dollars. Still, Sen. Coburn doesn’t see fit to recognize the numerous Democrats who didn’t support the war, who if they’d had their way would have saved the U.S. more than $500 billion.

Let’s look at his voting record:

Coburn voted against protecting Social Security trust fund dollars from the discretionary budget.
Coburn voted to extend Bush’s tax cuts.
Coburn voted to give Bush war powers to invade Iraq.
(FIGHTING A WAR WHILE LOWERING TAXES – TRUE PATRIOTISM)
Coburn voted against limits on farm subsidies (that largely go to corporate-owned farms).
Coburn voted against income limits for farmer subsidies (guaranteeing millionaires could continue to get assistance from teh federal treasury).

And just for you Americans out there struggling with the high price of gasoline, he voted against a bill that would protect consumers against oil company price gouging during natural disasters.

Meanwhile, he has fought to ban gay marriages, gay adoptions, abortions overseas, abortions at home, healthcare for just about anyone, or anything that would help a person while failing to advance the needs of corporations – a real man of the people.

Again, you’re an idiot. Do you even know what fascist means? Mussolini (aka proven fascist) once said, “everything inside the state, nothing outside,” quoting Robespierre. Do you even know who that is?

By lowering taxes, Colburn is taking money out of government (Anti-fascist). By stopping social security he’s telling you to plan for your future and do what you need to do to provide for yourself, the state isn’t your mommy. Farm subsidies tell farmers that they’ll be babied by the Federal government for not developing new technologies.

I mean come on, you’re as naiive as the people who told you that fascism is an extreme slant on conservatism. Read some books (maybe read something by some known socialist or fascists – Marx, Lenin, Nitzsche?), educate yourself and then come back and write something that has some meaning, bearing, and definition. I’m just gonna stop reading the junk you spew and let some ignorant people soak it up like a sponge. Maybe they’ll get so sick they vote for higher taxes, and improperly funded military, a government that hates small business, and environmental policies that are redundant and inefficient.

As long as it’s done under the Democratic flag it must be in your good interest. Right?

You made one critical error in your reply, L-Tron. Coburn has continued wasteful government spending by voting for those farm subsidies that go towards corporate-owned farms and millionairies. Some cost cutter he is! What rubbish …
